Dr. Amanda DeSollar completed both her undergraduate degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating in 2015. Following her academic studies, she accepted a position at a busy General Practice hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, where she developed a passion for helping to foster the bond between pets and their humans.

Dr. DeSollar enjoys the constant challenge of practicing medicine and the outcome of a successful treatment. She takes pride in treating each patient as though it were her own, and though she enjoys caring for all animals, she holds a special place in her heart for Shih Tzus.

Originally from Beardstown, IL, Dr. DeSollar relocated to Chicago in 2019 and is loving life in the city. Her favorite things about Chicago are the food and culture, especially the museums.

When she is not busy caring for her patients, Dr. DeSollar loves traveling and taking in the Chicago theatre scene. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and exploring the city.
